Scientific conference to mark the 60th anniversary of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole

The Museum of Polish Song in Opole and the Musicology Department of Opole University are inviting everyone to a nationwide interdisciplinary academic conference on 16 and 17 May “60 Years of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Music. Words. Contexts”.

The National Festival of Polish Song (KFPP) has become a part of the landscape of Polish culture over the past six decades. Its hits, artists and unforgettable concerts have been etched in the consciousness of many people. The sixtieth anniversary of the KFPP in Opole is an excellent opportunity to reflect on its historical legacy and its present”, informs the organisers.

The conference “60 Years of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Music. Words. Contexts” will be an excellent venue for an academic discussion of the event. The organisers would like to invite cultural scientists, musicologists, anthropologists, sociologists, media scholars, literary scholars, linguists and researchers of other fields interested in the subject to participate.
