Scientist from Brunei Darussalam begins research at Opole University of Technology

Prof. Wahyu Caesarendra will conduct research at the Opole University of Technology related to the application of Deep Learning to classify the image of a workpiece during the deburring process and teach classes on intelligent manufacturing.

Prof. Caesarendra comes from Brunei Darussalam, a country on the northern coast of the island of Borneo. The scientist is a member of many scientific societies and organisations, winner of international scholarships, author of many patents, and was nominated for the Research Excellence Award in 2020 for his achievements in the area of early career science.

Prof. Caesarendra’s visit is possible thanks to the Stanislaw Ulam programme of the National Academic Exchange Agency. The programme allows recognised and promising scientists with at least a doctoral degree to come to Poland to strengthen the scientific potential of Polish institutions and join in their scientific activities.
