Dr Łukasz Damurski from the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology became a scholarship holder of the Fulbright Senior Award program.
Dr Łukasz Damurski works at the Department of Urban Planning and Settlement Processes. He is interested in the images of the place, the processes of participation and social communication, and the development of local service centers in cities. He is a research project manager, author of books and many scientific articles as well as expert studies for the needs of local government policy.
The Fulbright Program, which is the largest US scientific and cultural exchange program, has two dimensions. The first is funding research trips of Polish students, researchers and academic teachers to the USA and supporting their projects. The second is ideological dimension; the program is to be a tool in building dialogue and peaceful relations between nations.
