Scientist from the University of Silesia receives an honorary badge “For merits for inventiveness”

Dr Andrzej Swinarew, from the faculty of exact and technical sciences at the University of Silesia has received the state honorary badge “For merits for inventiveness”. The badge was awarded by the Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, for his entire inventive activity. 

For many years, the laureate has demonstrated a remarkable ability to solve technical problems in materials science and biomedical engineering. The results of his work are characterized by a high degree of innovation, many of them have been used in industry, bringing positive technological and economic effects to entities implementing.

The results of his activity include over 70 inventions submitted for protection to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. His innovative activity also includes the development of the original design of devices, which was confirmed by the registration of nine industrial designs at the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
