28.04.2020

Dr Michał Wolański from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw became a member of the program team of the 11th World City Forum. The team was formed by UN-Habitat in 2022 to support Poland and the city of Katowice in organizing this event.

The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the most important conference devoted to the creation and implementation of urban policies in the world, organized by UN-Habitat, the UN agenda on urbanization and urban settlements. Its goal is to solve the problems facing most cities in the world today – rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change.

The event takes place every two years and brings together over 20,000 people, including representatives of governments, regions, cities and NGOs.

Michał Wolański is an adjunct at the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility SGH. He specializes in economics of transport and infrastructure construction, infrastructure policy, evaluation and sustainable mobility.
