Scientist from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology awarded as the Young Polish Promoter

Dr Marcin Poręba, from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology from the Faculty of Chemistry received a distinction for outstanding achievements in science in the Young Promoter of Poland program under the patronage of Agata Kornhauser-Duda, the First Lady of Poland. 

The laureate works at the Department of Biological Chemistry and Bioimaging. He developed a novel technology for the quantification of the activity of proteolytic enzymes in biological systems with a focus on neoplastic diseases. He is the author of over 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed foreign journals from the Philadelphia list, which have been cited over a thousand times.

The Young Promoter Awards are a reference to the Promoter of Poland program, addressed to people with an established professional position. In this way, the Foundation of the Polish Promotional Emblem distinguishes personalities who are active in the regions, work for local communities, and their professional and social attitude contributes to strengthening the positive image of the country.
