Prof. Krzysztof Schabowicz from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology received the honorary distinction of the Minister of Labor and Technology Development “For merits for the construction industry”. He was appreciated for his scientific and technical achievements in the field of construction and their implementation into the economy.

Prof. Schabowicz is a specialist in general construction, construction law, diagnostics and maintenance of engineering structures. He deals with the subject of ventilated facades, in particular with the production technology and testing the external cladding of fiber-cement panels in detection, identification and classification of degradation and damage processes, as well as the methodology of these tests.

He conducts research and development works related to the implementation of devices and non-destructive diagnostics technology in buildings, including the use of artificial intelligence. His research interests include concrete, fiber-cement, ultrasound tomography, echo method and impulse response method.
