Dr Eng. Jakub Nalepa of the faculty of automation, electronics and computer science of the Silesian University of Technology became one of the finalists of the jubilee, 20th Polityka Science Awards. The scientist was nominated in the category of technical sciences.

The competition is addressed to doctoral students as well as research and teaching, research and teaching staff at Polish universities. The jury assesses the relationship between age and scientific achievements of the candidates. The jury selects five winners for the scholarships of 15 thousand PLN and the prizes of 5 thousand PLN.

The scholarship program of the Polityka Foundation – Scientific Awards (until 2001 under the name “Stay with us!”) is to promote and appreciate young scientists.
