Dr Agnieszka Gajewicz-Skrętna from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk became a finalist of the nineteenth Polityka journal Science Awards. She is nominated in the field of exact sciences in chemistry.

The Scientific Awards of the weekly Polityka are awarded to exceptional scientists who conduct interesting, non-standard research and have impressive scientific achievements. The main goal of the program is to identify the most talented scholars. The organizers of the competition emphasize promoting a valuable career model in spite of pop-culture trends, emphasizing intellect and diligence, which imperceptibly became secondary values.

Dr Gajewicz-Skrętna’s focuses on the development and application of machine learning methods, statistical and chemometric methods supporting the process of computer chemical safety assessment.
