Dr Dominik Drzazga, Department of City and Regional Management of the University of Łódź (UŁ) received the Jerzy Regulski Award in the Knowledge and Dissemination category. The award was granted for his scientific monograph “Systemic determinants of spatial planning as an instrument of achieving sustained development”.
The Polish scientific literature lacks comprehensive studies on spatial planning issues in the theoretical, conceptual and, most importantly, practical dimensions. This work is also valuable for dealing with the problems of spatial planning in the aspect of the sustensive development paradigm.
The Jerzy Regulski Award was established in 2016 by the Foundation for the Development of Local Democracy and the Society of Polish Town Planners. It is awarded for outstanding achievements in creating spatial order in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
