Scientist of the University of Wrocław participates in the Leadership Academy for Poland

Dr Mateusz Strzelecki from the Institute of Geography and Regional Development of the University of Wrocław has been selected for this year’s Leadership Academy for Poland 2020 (LAP).

LAP is a program for the development of good leadership, implemented with the participation of recognized professors from the most prestigious educational centers in the world – including Harvard University and London Business School. Academy participants can develop their competences in three areas: motivation, management and self-improvement.

The laureate was nominated by the Foundation for Polish Science and will be the first LAP participant from the Wrocław university. Previously, he worked in the UK, Norway and Germany. He managed the university polar station on Spitsbergen, was the leader of Polish research teams on coast evolution and paraglidal landscape transformation in the High Arctic, as well as the youngest member of the Polar Research Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
