Wojciech Ignaczak, PhD student at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, became a laureate of the Etiuda 7 competition. Thanks to funding from the National Science Center, the young scientist will go to a foreign research internship.
The acquired grant will allow the doctoral student to travel to Denmark for 4 months, to Danish Polymer Center located at Denmark University of Technology in Copenhagen and to study the fiber-polymer matrix in basalt fiber reinforced composites using the method of broadband dielectric spectroscopy.
The subject of the doctoral dissertation of a young scientist from the Szczecin university are “Thermoplastic PP / PBT composites reinforced with basalt fiber”. The doctoral student’s promoter is Prof. Eng. Mirosława El Fray, director of the Nanotechnology Didactic and Research Center, director of the Polymer Institute and head of the Department of Functional Materials and Biomaterials of the Szczecin University.
