Scientist of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology designing a new generation of batteries

30.04.2021

Dr Eng. Adam Moyseowicz from the Department of Process Engineering and Technology of Polymer and Carbon Materials at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology is designing a new generation of batteries. The innovative solution will be tested during his internship at Imperial College London.

The scientist will travel to Great Britain as part of a research project financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange. He is planning to spend five months at a British university working in the group of Prof. Magdalena Titirici – specialists in the field of carbon materials and their use for environmental protection.

Dr Adam Moyseowicz’s research concerns the synthesis of new materials based on carbon and tin, which will be used in new types of batteries – sodium-ion (Na-ion). They can provide an alternative to the popular lithium-ion batteries used almost everywhere, from portable electronics to electric vehicles.
