Scientist of Wrocław University of Science and Technology receives the Wacław Żenczykowski Award

Prof. Krzysztof Schabowicz from Wrocław University of Science and Technology has won the prestigious Wacław Żenczykowski Award of the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians. The scientist was recognised for his outstanding research and implementation achievements in the field of construction.

The award is given for successes in the field of general construction, including, among others, the problems of building materials, building physics and building work technology. Prof. Schabowicz was recognised for his achievements supported by numerous patents and utility models in the field of innovative solutions for fibre-cement composite panels and the development of methods for their diagnosis and procedures for identifying imperfections.

The laureate is the author of more than 300 scientific publications, five monographs and books published by, among others, Cambridge Publishing House. He has more than a thousand citations in the Web of Science database and a Hirsch index of 20, thanks to which he is present in the international TOP 2% ranking of influential people in science.
