Dr Dawid Pinkowicz, Dr Roman Szczęsny and Dr Michał Wierzchoń received the prestigious awards of the National Science Center (NCN) for special scientific achievements in the field of basic research. The winners received cash prizes in the amount of 50 thousand PLN.
The aim of the NCN Award is to support the most outstanding scientists conducting research in the field of basic research in Polish scientific units. Established in 2013, the prize is awarded to researchers under the age of 40 and is awarded in three research areas: humanities, social and art sciences, life sciences and exact and technical sciences.
– I am pleased that the extremely prestigious award of the National Science Center, has been presented today for the seventh time. I congratulate the young scientists here for their outstanding scientific achievements. – said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education at the National Science Center Awards Gala.
