78 ecological organizations and initiatives, including Extinction Rebellion, Youth Climate Strike, WWF Poland, Strike for Earth, Workshop for All Beings, Greenpeace Poland and Parents for Climate, as well as 434 scientists, including Prof. Szymon Malinowski from the University of Warsaw and Prof. Bogusław Nierenberg from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, signed an appeal to the media for reliable information on climate change.

Researchers and organizations that signed the letter believe that adequate action will not be taken without a common understanding of the causes and effects of a climate disaster. Education of society is a task for governments and the media that are facing the most important challenge in the history.

The authors of the letter demand from media to appoint management board plenipotentiaries for providing reliable information on climate change, who would be an important and operative part of the structures of companies, and the adoption of the Declaration on reliable information on climate change.
