Researchers from the Institute of Art History of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw are working on an exceptional collection including projects of designs for furnishing the chapel in Łagiewniki from the 19th century.

Dr Katarzyna Chrudzimska-Uhera and Dr Anna Czyż from the Institute of Art History at UKSW will analyze the collection of designs, drawings and architectural plans located in Żołynia near Rzeszów.

The legacy of the two-generation woodcarving family of Dąbrowski includes works by recognized artists, including from Krakow, Lviv and Przemyśl, including Tomasz Pryliński, Ferdynand and Stanisław Majerski and Adolf Minasiewicz. So far, almost 3,000 drawings have been inventoried, including the oldest ones from the 1860s.

The work carried out by researchers from the UKSW Institute of Art History is possible thanks to the financial support of the POLONIKA Institute and an agreement with the Municipal Cultural Center in Żołynia.
