Researchers from the Gdańsk University of Technology will develop an innovative system for assisting a pregnant patient based on artificial intelligence. It will make it possible to predict the risk of pregnancy-related complications before symptoms appear. The research team will create, among others “Digital twin”, which will support monitoring of the patient’s health at home and at the point of care.
Thanks to digital models, it will be possible to monitor and predict the risk of complications such as pre-eclampsia and the so-called gestational hypertension before symptoms appear. If necessary, these tools will help determine the optimal dose of the drug and treatment plan for the course of pregnancy. The platform will be available to both medical staff (doctors, nurses, midwives) as well as the patient and her relatives.
The international research consortium consists of: Aarhus University (leader), Aarhus University Hospital (Denmark), Gdańsk University of Technology, Gameta Gdynia Centrum Zdrowia Sp. z o. o. and Zitec Com SRL (Romania).
