Scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw join the Bekker program

Dr Agnieszka Nemś and Prof. Witold Rohm from Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences have received scholarships of the Bekker Program. In total, they will receive almost 300 thousand PLN for their scientific trips to Spain and to Canada.

Dr Agnieszka Nemś from the Department of Agricultural Technology and Storage will go to Miguel Hernández University of Elche. During her stay she will work on sensory analysis of food on the example of potato snacks such as crisps and chips. The researchers will analyze the parameters that consumers pay attention to: appearance, color, crunchiness, taste, smell and texture of this sort of food.

Professor Witold Rohm from the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics will go to Canada for a year. In a group of researchers from the University of Victoria, he will be using GNSS reflectometry as a new source of ice cover monitoring. Researchers will analyze ice thawing in northern Canada.
