Scientists of the Jagiellonian University receive “Stars of Horizon 2020”

Dr Michał Nemeth and Dr Tomasz Żuradzki, scientists of the Jagiellonian University (JU) in Krakow were honored with “Stars of Horizon 2020”. The distinctions were awarded by the Regional Contact Point for European Union Research Programs in Krakow.

The Jagiellonian University was selected the most active participant in the European Union’s Horizon 2020 framework program of the Małopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships in the “universities” category. It received the “Horizon Star 2020” for 7 coordinations and 51 participations in the program.

Dr Michał Nemeth and Dr Tomasz Żuradzki won the most prestigious European Research Council (ERC) grants in Europe in 2018.

Dr Michał Németh specializes in research on the history of the Karaim language based on editions of written sources. Dr Tomasz Żuradzki is a philosopher, interested in metaethics and practical ethics.
