Researchers of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Life Sciences in Poznań are co-authors of the ‘Catalogue of rainwater management methods for roads, squares and car parks’. The publication presents principles and methods for sustainable management of rainwater from car parks, squares, pavements and road lanes.
The document was created mainly for designers, planners or officials, but also for residents, who can form an opinion on the necessity of including an efficient and sustainable rainwater management system in urban space.
Poland is one of the countries with the smallest water resources in Europe. Therefore, it is important not only to save these resources, but also to manage rainwater effectively. Their management in cities is one of the biggest challenges.
