Scientists from the Department of English-language Literatures of the University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz implements the DIGITENS project – financed by the European Commission under the RISE-Horizon 2020 program.
The grant will last until 2021 and enables internships abroad at the institutions of the consortium. The main effect of the project is to be “The Digital Encyclopaedia of Enlightenment Sociability” (Digital Encyclopedia of Social Life in Enlightenment).
The DIGITENS project focuses on the category of ‘sociability’ in British Enlightenment and the influence of British models on social models in Europe and America and their cultural and literary representations.
The international research consortium includes representatives of the University of Brittany, the Sorbonne, the French Library, the National Archives in London and the McGill University in Montreal – we read on the website of the University of Bydgoszcz.
