Scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań participate in global atmospheric research as part of the ACTRIS ERIC consortium. This is one of the most important elements of the European infrastructure for environmental research with a particular focus on the physical parameters of the atmosphere.
The ACTRIS ERIC Consortium for European Aerosols, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure was established by a decision of the European Commission. Among the seventeen founding countries of this international infrastructure is Poland, represented by a consortium including the University of Life Sciences in Poznań.
ACTRIS (Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure) is a multilayered, multidomain and interoperable research infrastructure that collects and aggregates measurements from distributed measurement networks across Europe, and their data are processed, standardised and integrated into a central database.
