The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) has announced the results of the first competition under the government programme NUTRITECH – nutrition in view of the challenges of improving the well-being of society and climate change. As a result of the substantive assessment, 30 projects were recommended for co-financing of over PLN 136 million.

The main objective of the NUTRITECH programme is to increase the availability of products and solutions (affordable to the average consumer) in the area of proper nutrition by 2030, which will be achieved through the implementation of R&D results, taking into account the principles of sustainable development.

In the competition announced by NCRD, companies, their consortia or industrial-scientific consortia could apply for co-financing of projects covering industrial research, experimental development and pre-implementation work.

The NUTRITECH programme aims to implement developed solutions, such as health-promoting products, nutrition plans, processes, technologies and accompanying services that will help reduce the risk of chronic non-communicable diseases, including diet-related diseases.
