Next 55 winners of the MINIATURA 7 competition

55 researchers from all over Poland will receive more than PLN 2 million for the implementation of single scientific activities such as preliminary studies, pilot studies, scientific internships and research and consultancy trips, reports the National Science Centre.

In this MINIATURA 7 competition, the largest number of activities were qualified for funding in the life sciences group. 24 scientists will carry out their research in this area. 

They include activities that address the challenges of increasing antibiotic resistance. Dr Eng. Ilona Foik will conduct a pilot study at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the role of microbial free extracellular DNA and cathelicidin in the response of bacteria to antibiotics used in the treatment of polyurinary inflammation. 

In the group of humanities, social sciences and arts, 17 activities will receive funding, and in the group of science and technology, 14 researchers will realise their activities.
