Scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań receive a new patent

23.03.2021

Scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań have developed a device for the reclamation (purification) of contaminated aquaculture and small water reservoirs. Their invention has received a patent.

The invention will allow to create the so-called “Green islands” on water reservoirs. Their role is improving the quality parameters of local waters. The installations are mobile and they enable to assure simultaneous water purification through physical and biological methods and, if necessary, chemical methods.

The device works as a submersible bubble reactor – ARL (airlift raector) with external circulation of the medium. Inside the bubble reactor, the Poznan engineers installed an aeration diffuser and a moving bed with a large specific surface. The dispenser installed above the reactor outlet allows to apply effective cleaning aids. The device is small, light, easy to manufacture and inexpensive.
