Researchers of the University of Szczecin have become laureates of the History Competition of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the category “The best publication in Polish on the history of Polish diplomacy”.
The award was won by Prof. Janusz Faryś for ‘Between Moscow and Berlin. A vision of Polish foreign policy 1918–1939″. It is a monograph on Polish foreign policy in the years 1918–1939. The author describes the dominant concepts, leading the reader through the meanders of diplomatic efforts to preserve the independence of the young Polish state after the peace in Versailles.
Dr Henryk Walczak received an award for “Visits of heads of state as part of mutual relations between Poland and Romania in the interwar period”. The publication presents not only the concepts of Józef Piłsudski and Roman Dmowski, but also other participants in political life, without avoiding own judgments and digressions.
