Almost PLN 67 million will be awarded to the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (SUM) for the Silesian Medical Platform eCareMed. The project was created in response to the needs of patients in early diagnostics of oncology, cardiology and neurology diseases.
Implementation of the project “Silesian Digital Medical Platform eCareMed – Telemedicine and exploration of medical data” will allow minimizing waiting time for diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. It will also increase the access of doctors to the results of patient tests.
The platform will allow the use of information and communication technologies in the area of e-health. The project led by the SUM, will be implemented by partners: the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze; Beskidzkie Centrum Onkologii, Municipal Hospital of John Paul II in Bielsko-Biała; Center of Oncology – Maria Skłodowska-Curie Institute in Gliwice, University Clinical Center and Upper Silesian Medical Center SUM.
