The Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE has won the “Super Brand – Silesia” award granted by the Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The award recognises a significant contribution to the development of the Silesian Voivodship. It is awarded to entities or individuals who have become an extraordinary symbol of the Silesian region, a brand recognisable at home and abroad.

The Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE is one of the largest popular science events in Poland and Europe. It is organised by universities from the Silesian Voivodeship, which since 2018 have formed a consortium by agreement. The leader of the agreement is the University of Silesia.

The next festival will take place from 3 to 5 December 2022 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. It will be one of the most important events in the framework of preparations to become a European city of science and the organiser of the year-long European Science “Games”.
