The new master’s studies in energy transformation were created jointly by the Silesian University of Technology and the University of Lisbon (Superior Técnico). The studies were created as part of the Catamaran project and will educate future leaders of the energy transformation.

The project is in line with the strategic goals of the Silesian University of Technology, including internationalization and attracting foreign students. Both universities jointly developed a two-year study program that takes into account the international mobility of students. The program was developed based on extensive consultations with the economic environment.

The “MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering” study program will include subjects such as: renewable energy, low-emission combustion, closed-loop economy, new generation alternative fuels, “waste-to-energy” technologies, the efficiency of energy systems, energy storage and global energy policy.
