The second analogue mission of the Silesian University of Technology at the Lunares Research Station has ended. After 2 weeks, the crew “returned” to Earth. The mission was attended by three analog astronauts forming the Silesian Phoenix team: Dobrochna Fryc, Eng. Witold Krafczyk and Jakub Bręczewski.

Habitat LunAres is a research facility located in Piła, used to simulate space missions called analog missions. It is the only facility of this type in Europe. During the mission, participants took part in research on the effects of isolation on the physical and mental health of the crew. Some of their classes also concerned the development and testing of systems and the production of plants in soilless technology.

During the mission, participants had the opportunity to conduct a total of 6 simulated EVA space walks. Members of the Silesian Phoenix team tested one of their robots and the LEO rover on a surface similar to the lunar soil.
