The Library of the Silesian University of Technology has launched the Knowledge Base, which contains information about the scientific achievements of employees and doctoral students of the university. Currently, the system has registered publications, doctoral dissertations and patent documents since 2017.

The database contains information about publications transferred from the database Dorobek. It is updated on a regular basis and will be systematically expanded with information from previous years. In subsequent stages, it will also record information on research data, projects, conferences and other scientific activities carried out at the Silesian University of Technology. Ultimately, it will be the main source of scientific information at the Silesian University.

The purpose of creating the Knowledge Base is to provide easy access to information about the directions and results of the conducted research, the specialization of its individual organizational units and research workers.
