The scholars from the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology (PŚ), created the card game ‘Metropolis Game’ with the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis (GZM) in mind. The game is the result of learning and working during didactic classes in the subject of the structure of the city.

“It is a game dedicated to the Górnonośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis. All cards refer to its structure referring to the cities and municipalities that make up the metropolis. The game can be played in several ways. The simplest version is to form a puzzle. In this way you can put together a map of the GMA”, explains the creator of the game, Dr Eng. Tomasz Bradecki, Professor at the Silesian University of Technology.

The cards can also be used to play a popular “war” card game – each card symbolises a town or village, which has a corresponding indicator assigned to it, and they can compete against each other. The project has been supported by the authorities of the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis since its inception, and the game may soon become a new promotional gadget of the metropolis.
