The Centre for Isotopic Methods CEMIZ has been opened at the Institute of Physics – Science and Didactics Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. The Centre will conduct top-quality scientific research in cooperation with the socio-economic environment.
The laboratory will provide measurement services for the determination of bio-substances in fuels for the renewable energy sector, in foodstuffs and other products containing bio-components. Analyses will also be performed for radiocarbon dating, as well as environmental, geological and hydrological studies.
The opening of the Centre is the culmination of a project carried out by the Department of Geochronology and Isotopic Research of the Environment of the Institute of Physics-Centre for Science and Didactics, subsidised by the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship 2014-2020 under the European Regional Development Fund.
