The Silesian University of Technology took first place in the ProDok competition, becoming the most pro-doctoral university in Poland. The title is awarded by the National Representation of Doctoral Students. In the previous competition, the university took second place, and two years earlier, first place.
The competition jury assessed the educational opportunities and development of young scientists. Issues assessed included grants awarded for research, financial support for participation in national and international conferences, involvement in high-profile publications and internships and trips abroad.
The competition questions also concerned the degree of internationalisation of doctoral students and the possibility of participation in the ERASMUS + programme, psychological support, the university’s adaptation for people with disabilities and the activities and projects carried out by the doctoral students’ self-government.
