The Silesian University of Technology and the Łukasiewicz Research Network have signed an agreement intensifying research and development cooperation for business. The document signed by the rector of the university, Prof. Eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk and the president of the network Piotr Dardziński, assumes establishing the Silesian Hub of Digital Innovation (EDIH).
The aim of EDIH will be to mobilize local scientific and business environments for the transfer of knowledge, development and use of digital solutions in production processes and the functioning of the public sector. The agreement also provides for initiating projects for the needs of industry and further cooperation in the practical use of implementation doctorates.
Signatories also want to intensify didactic cooperation. They are planning programs raising the qualifications of employees of both institutions, exchange of academic staff and inclusion of employees of Network institutes in didactic processes conducted at the University.
