Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk and Mirosław Kurz, director of the Regional Water Management Board in Gliwice, have signed a letter of intent on cooperation in the field of exchange of research, didactic and substantive experience.
The cooperation covers issues related to water engineering and infrastructure as well as water management and purity. Mutual activities will include student internships and development of competences related to crisis management. Joint ventures will include projects and programs of a scientific, research and development nature, implemented in the hydrotechnical facilities of the Polish Water Farm.
Actions taken by both institutions are part of environmental protection and the pursuit of sustainable development. The University of Technology conducts scientific research in this area, implementing one of six priority research areas: climate and environmental protection, modern energy.
