A car of students from the Silesian University of Technology will compete in the Formula Student class competition in the summer season of 2023. Thanks to funding obtained from the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolitan Area as part of the Metropolitan Fund for the Support of Science in 2022-2024, members of the PolSl Racing scientific club will compete in one round of this international competition.

Formula Student is an annual series of international competitions to showcase and test race cars developed and built by students of top universities using innovative solutions and materials. 

The cars are subjected to substantive evaluation by world-renowned experts and industry professionals. The competition itself is divided into static competitions, during which, among other things, the applied engineering solutions are assessed, and dynamic ones, where the cars are tested in track conditions.
