New green leisure zones will be created in the Katowice campus of the Silesian University of Technology. The investment will be implemented in the complex of buildings of the transport and aviation engineering department and the material engineering department. It will completely change the appearance and purpose of the inner yards of the campus at Krasiński Street.

Currently the works are underway to transform the courtyards into green recreation zones for students and employees. As part of the investment, they will also include new locations for external railway traffic laboratories of the transport and aviation engineering department. The total area under revitalization is over 5.5 thousand square meters.

The new concept includes parking spaces for people with disabilities and bicycle stands, new green areas, as well as functional elements of small architecture, benches and modern and decorative field lighting. The value of the task is almost PLN 2 million. The planned completion of the investment is the second half of September 2020.
