The first in Poland Atlas Copco Laboratory, a global producer of technological and production solutions of Industry 4.0 has been launched at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology.

The new laboratory is a joint project of the Silesian University of Technology and Atlas Copco. The facility was equipped with equipment and technologies of Industry 4.0. currently used in the world, incl. in the automotive industry. The laboratory uses the latest technologies in the field of assembly, providing improvement of its quality as well as increasing the reliability of technical systems in the cars.

Classes in the laboratory will integrate all important elements of automation, mechatronics, applied computer science, machine construction, as well as in the organization of the production process. Knowledge gained during classes will help in the design of cars, but also in the areas beyond automotive sector.
