17.01.2020

About 200 robots from all parts of the world will participate in the competition the Robotic Arena organized by the KoNaR Robotics Research Club, operating at the electronics department of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology at Hala Stulecia on January 25.

The robots will compete in LineFollower races where speed and efficiency are the most important factors. RoboSprint is also planned. This is a race inspired by “dromos”- the oldest competition of the ancient Olympics.

During the Sumo competition, we will see robot battles of varying sizes. Both microscopic constructions and two-kilos colossi will compete against each other. In the last competition they will be equipped with a set of magnets pressing the opponent against the metal ring, which will allow to show their excellence in complicated maneuvers.

During this year’s tournament, viewers will also see the Folk Race – several autonomous robots racing on the track and trying to beat the largest number of laps at the given time.
