Indication of key challenges in the development of the region in the next years is the main topic of the congress organized by the Silesian Voivodeship self-government. The meeting, which will be attended by representatives of scientific communities and business, will be held on May 24 in Katowice.

The organizers of the Congress are to define the role and activity of scientific units in building an innovative and competitive economy and improving the quality of life of the region’s inhabitants. Two panel discussions are included in the agenda of the meeting. The first one will be devoted to medicine, the second to solutions related to the so-called green economy. In addition to thematic panels, a presentation of best practices is also provided.

The results will be used in the work on updating the Silesian Voivodeship Development Strategy “Silesian 2020 +”.
