The Silesian Voivodeship and the Medical University of Silesia will cooperate in the area of healthcare. They are planning joint investments, as well as a scholarship program, which should start as a pilot in the new academic year. There are also plans to develop a regional health atlas.
The aim of the cooperation are activities aimed at improving and extending the life of the inhabitants of the region, as well as projects for the development of science, enlarging the scientific base and attracting students to study at the Medical University of Silesia. The new EU perspective also creates a significant opportunity in this regard.
The partners will also support initiatives aimed at increasing the quality and increasing the availability of medical services, ensuring favorable conditions for the implementation of a healthy lifestyle for residents, the development of medical and telemedicine technologies, and tightening cooperation in the implementation of activities promoting health.
