Nearly 100 high school students from all over Poland including foreigners from the British School in Warsaw and students from Germany, took part in this year’s debates of BiaMUN (Bialystok Model United Nations). The event, which was held on the campus of the University of Bialystok (NB) from February 22-24, 2019, was a simulation of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

The BiaMUN meeting was inaugurated by a lecture of Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz – former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The young speakers debated about politics, social and economic issues. The themes of this year’s debates included the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the aging of European societies or the forced marriages of children. During their speeches, the participants took on the representatives of various UN member countries.
