The modern Monoprofile Center of Medical Simulation has been opened at the University of Medical Sciences (WSM) in Bialystok. Prof. Lech Chyczewski, Rector of WSM, emphasizes that the Center will enrich the science of the nurse profession and help in the final evaluation of teaching results.

The center consists of several rooms with different types of simulation models. It simulates not only newborns, children and adults, but also the parts of body like a hand, so that future nurses can learn to make injections or sew the seams. The Center has also models of the breasts affected by cancer.

Dr Bianka Misiak, head of the Nursing Department at WSM, reminds that the Bialystok school educates future nurses since 2005. In her opinion, the creation of the Center marks a milestone in improving the quality of education.
