Startup WAAM created by graduates of the Silesian University of Technology, was considered one of the three best startups in the Environment category at European Startup Days organised as part of the 11th European Economic Congress in Katowice.

The WAAM is the first Polish Reverse Vending Machine to accept returnable packaging. The device is characterized by innovative mechanical solutions that allow to enhance collection of waste.

In addition, the unconventional combination of a dedicated application of games with the machine creates the first such game console, which collects waste for a virtual currency. For the received currency young people will be able to fulfil their dreams in the virtual world. The system of generating profits for the investor is also revolutionary. They can score selected products or machine locations, increasing sales of products.
