The State Higher Vocational School in Konin (PWSZ) together with the University of Arts in Poznań are inviting participants to a nationwide conference “Sound in non-musical artistic, educational and curatorial activities”. The conference will be held on-line on November 5.

The aim of the organizers is to outline as wide a field of reference as possible, helpful in identifying and understanding the changes taking place in contemporary art and culture under the influence of sound and the ways of listening connected with it.

The conference texts will focus primarily on historical and contemporary curatorial strategies of artistic projects for which sound and listening coupled with it play an important role, as well as non-musical contexts of sound in contemporary art, the tradition and present sound art, the relationship between sound ecology and art, and educational and educational practices. based on listening.
