The State Higher Vocational School in Nysa will cooperate with the Umicore company. The contract was signed by the rector of the University of Nysa, Prof. Przemysław Malinowski and Nathalie Bortels – Director of the Plant in Nysa Umicore Poland Sp. z o.o.

The document is the result of the activities of both parties in terms of creating opportunities and conditions for educating specialists for the Umicore-built plant for the production of cathode materials included in lithium-ion batteries, in the growing electromobility industry. The plant is being built near Nysa in the economic zone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest-Park. It will be the first factory of this type in Europe.

The signed contract, in addition to cooperation in the field of knowledge transfer and exchange of experiences, also provides the opportunity to implement student internships as well as jointly conduct projects and research on modern technologies.
