Alya Appassova from Kazakhstan won the 10th International Song Competition for the Rector’s Award of the Krakow University of Technology (PK). The event was organized by the International Center for the Education of PK.
The participants of the competition performed one song in their native language and one in Polish. Bilguun Davakhuu from Mongolia took the second place in the competition, followed by Maria Jankowska from Belarus and the Indonesian duet – Riza Putri and Jeffrey Hanafie. Students from Indonesia also received Audience award.
The organizer of the event was the International Center for Education at the Krakow University of Technology, whose tasks include preparing foreigners to study in Poland. The center was established in 1985 as an Urban Development Training Center for Developing Countries. In 2002, it was transformed into the International Center for Education and Urban Studies, and since 2007 it has been called the International Center for the Education of PK.
