Ida Hardt, a student of the Faculty of Architecture, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, won a competition organized by the architectural UNI portal. The jury appreciated her concept of a meditation and sleep center in Seoul as a spatial structure of 50 capsules.
Competition organizer, UNI internet platform including 150 thousand architects and designers from around the world, proposed to create a project for the center of Seoul. There would be a facility offering ideal conditions for a nap for one hundred people, as well as spaces for workshops and meditation.
The winning concept assumes three above-ground floors – 50 capsules, six of which would be loosely placed on the ground floor, and the rest would be connected by a steel framework. In addition to sleeping capsules and sanitary facilities, the author designed rooms for meditation (group and individual classes), a conference room and a room for workshops, e.g. from working on the breath.
